1882: LAN Lancaster Hotel servant at marriage.At the time of the marriage, James was a hotel servant from Lancaster. The marriage took place at St Johns parish church at 'Ingrow with Hainworth' near Keighley, West Yorkshire, the witnesses being John and Annie Sedgewick. James and Elizabeth dissappear from all future censuses in the UK but a James and Elizabeth appear in America about the same time, of the correct age etc. They emigrated 1895 and where naturalised 1896.
In 1891 there was a James Ducksbury (barber, 146 E 20th street, Patterson NJ, USA) living with a Robert Ducksbury (this may have been James going out to america first then followed by his wife and living with his borther Robert ?) . Later in 1892, Robert was a machinist and a border at 13 Park Place, Carbondale, PA, USA. Between March 1894 and 1896 Robert married his sister-in-law Josephine A Wood (who was also his executer) and left all his estate to her despite the will being contested by James Ducksbury. Robert died 1896, buried in the Bennettsville cemetery, Corbin Road, Bennettsvile/Bainbridge, Chenango County, NY (grave actually states 1855-1898 but is wrong, it also contains Frederick A Wood 1858-1894).
James and his family are recorded in the US Census of 1920 living in East Paterson, Bergen, NJ.

James went to USA and he "disappeared". There was talk that he may have died in an accident on the railway, although there was never any proof of this. Sarah went over to the USA seven times.
146. Ambrose Behan
Ambrose went to live in America and married a lady of German extraction and they had a daughter Maria. It is beleived that Ambrose Beehan was in the American Army and lived in a veterans home in Vermont.
147. William Dennis Behan
He was born on 13th September 1886 at 39 Paisley Street, Horton, Bradford, York. The birth was registed on 22nd October 1886. The birth certificate is shown as a certified copy on 18th October 1897.
When he was 16, William Dennis Beehan was sent over to USA to stay with Ambrose. He was beleived to have hated it and he ran away and hobo'ed his way back to the UK doing a variety of jobs some in engineering. A return portion of his ticket back to the USA as a cattlehand exists. William came back via Liverpool and eventually found a job working as an engineer, repairing and maintaining the trams in London for London Transport. He was still working there during the war and died in service aged 59 on 3rd February 1946. He was buried at Bexleyheath Kent, where the death was registered.

1920: USA-NYK Ellis Island Immigration from GBR-LEI Coalville.John and Elizabeth married in 1885 in Keighley, Yorkshire, (vol 9a, page 313). By 1898 John was married and living in Main Street, Newhall near Burton upon Trent and working as a Blacksmith at a Colliery. In 1920 he visited his daughter in america and stayed for 3 months. John was 5 ft 10 in tall of fair complexion with grey hair and blue eyes.
