Photo taken in Stricklandgate, August 1891 during and Arts and Crafts exhibition. Note the sign, center of picture "Ducksbury's Elephant Inn". The pub stood where the Boots store now stands at the entrance to the 'Elephant Yard', next to it the building with the large archway was the "Woolpack Inn" which is now a Kentucky Fried Chicken.
